For the past year, have served as Great Basin Institute's project lead and moderator in a cooperative research study with the Bureau of Land Management's Elko District. I engaged participants in a series of open-discussion groups in Wendover, Wells and Elko about their perceptions and attitudes regarding their desired experiences, benefits and outcomes resulting from their activities in Wilderness Study Areas and other wild lands in the Elko BLM District. The data gathered will help the BLM better understand how to engage the public in the future. Here is a copy of the final report:
